Who We Are

OnlyToday (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a habit tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the app and this website.

What We Collect

• Usage data (in-app): Habit names, check-ins, progress values, and timestamps. By default, these are stored locally on your device.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how users interact with the app and to help improve its functionality, stability, and performance. Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically collect information such as app opens, sessions, screen views, app updates, device model, operating system, approximate geographic information, and an app-instance identifier. Depending on the configuration and features we use, it may also process advertising identifiers and information relating to in-app purchases or subscriptions.
• Advertising data: OnlyToday uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect information such as the device's IP address, device identifiers, advertising data, product interaction information, crash information, and performance information.
• Device and advertising identifiers: AdMob may process device-level identifiers, including an advertising identifier where permitted by the user's device settings and applicable permissions. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier for tracking purposes is subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
• Advertising interactions: AdMob may collect information about advertisements displayed to you and interactions with advertisements, including information used for advertising measurement and optimization.
• Diagnostics and performance: The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect non-user-related crash information and performance information such as app launch time, hang rate, or energy usage to diagnose problems, improve the SDK, and support advertising and analytics functions.
• Product interactions: The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect information about interactions with the app, such as app launches, taps, and interactions involving advertisements or other ad-related content, to improve advertising performance.
• Optional data you share: Support emails, feedback messages, or attachments sent to our support address.

We do not intentionally send directly identifying information, such as your name or email address, to Google Analytics or AdMob unless specifically described in this Privacy Policy or required by a feature you choose to use.

If future features add cloud sync, accounts, or other forms of personal data collection, we will update this policy and request consent where required before collecting additional personal data.

How We Use Information

• To provide the app's core features, including creating habits, tracking progress, and displaying scores. This functionality is primarily performed locally on your device.
• To understand general usage of the app and improve its functionality, stability, and performance through Google Analytics for Firebase.
• To display advertisements through Google AdMob.
• To measure, optimize, and improve the performance of advertising shown through AdMob.
• To diagnose technical problems and improve the reliability and performance of the advertising SDK and the app.
• To respond to support requests and communicate about issues or updates.

Advertising

OnlyToday uses Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements in the app.

AdMob may use information such as device identifiers, advertising information, product interactions, IP address, and information about advertisements shown to provide, measure, and improve advertising services.

Depending on the user's device settings, permissions, location, applicable consent requirements, and available advertising inventory, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized.

On iOS, access to Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA) for tracking purposes is subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you do not grant tracking permission, certain advertising and measurement capabilities may be limited.

For users in regions where additional advertising consent is required, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, applicable consent mechanisms may be presented before certain types of advertising are served.

Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Google Analytics for Firebase, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how users interact with OnlyToday and to improve the app.

Google Analytics for Firebase may automatically collect information such as app usage and interaction data, including app opens, sessions, screen views, app updates, device model, operating system, approximate geographic information, and an app-instance identifier. Depending on the configuration and features we use, Google Analytics may also process advertising identifiers and information relating to in-app purchases or subscriptions.

We do not intentionally send personally identifiable information, such as your name or email address, to Google Analytics unless specifically described in this Privacy Policy.

App Tracking Transparency on iOS

On iOS, OnlyToday may request permission to access Apple's advertising identifier through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

This permission is used when applicable to support advertising personalization and advertising measurement. You can choose whether to allow or deny this permission. Denying permission does not prevent the app from displaying advertisements, but may limit certain personalized advertising and measurement capabilities.

Data Storage and Security

• On-device storage: Habit data is saved locally on the device unless cloud sync is introduced and explicitly enabled by the user.
• Third-party services: Information collected by Google Analytics and Google AdMob is processed by Google according to the applicable Google services and privacy policies.
• Security: We use platform-recommended practices to protect data. No security method is 100% secure, but we aim to minimize collection and retention.

Sharing and Third Parties

• We do not sell personal data.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: Google processes analytics and usage information on our behalf to help us understand app usage and improve the app.
• Google AdMob: Google processes advertising-related information to provide, measure, and improve advertisements displayed in the app.
• Third-party advertising destinations: Selecting an advertisement may take you to a third-party website or service. Information you provide to that website or service is subject to its own privacy policy and terms.
• Legal: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Data Retention

• On-device habit data remains until the user deletes it or uninstalls the app.
• Google Analytics data is retained and processed according to Google's applicable policies and the retention settings for the services we use.
• Google AdMob data is retained and processed according to Google's applicable policies and settings for the services we use.
• Support communications are retained as long as necessary to resolve issues and meet legal obligations.

Your Choices and Rights

• Access/Export/Delete: Manage or remove habit data from within the app or by uninstalling. Contact us for assistance.
• Advertising choices: On iOS, you can control tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency settings. Depending on your region, additional consent options may also be provided within the app.
• Analytics controls: Where applicable, certain analytics and advertising-related data collection may be controlled through your device or app settings.
• Region-specific rights: Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), you may have additional rights to access, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children’s Privacy

OnlyToday is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us for deletion.

International Transfers

Because we use third-party services such as Google Analytics for Firebase and Google AdMob, information may be processed in countries other than the country in which you are located. We will implement appropriate safeguards where required by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” will reflect the latest version. Material changes will be communicated within the app or on this page.
